A common situation arises when a witness or deponent is physically located in Israel but needs to participate in a deposition connected with litigation in the United States.

The deposition itself may take place remotely by Zoom, Microsoft Teams or another video platform, while the attorneys and court reporter are located abroad.

Depending on the requirements of the relevant court, law firm or court reporting company, assistance in Israel may be required for identification of the witness, administration of an oath or affirmation, execution of an affidavit or declaration, signature authentication or notarization of related documents.
